"Sri Nanak Prakash is a detailed historical account of the life of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. It was written by Mahakavi (great poet) Santokh Singh Ji in 1824 (AD), and represent one of the most comprehensive and beautifully written accounts of Guru Ji's life.
Mahakavi Bhai Santokh Singh Ji was an accomplished scholar, who studied under the renowned Giani Bhai Sant Singh Ji, the Head Granthi of Sri Harmandar Sahib at the time.
This book represents a humble attempt to bring Kavi Ji's words to an English speaking audience, and to commemorate the 550th Avtar Purab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
It is our hope that this book will provide the reader with further knowledge of Guru Ji's life and develop their understanding of Guru Ji's teachings and the fundamentals of Gurmat.
We hope to enable the wider English speaking Sangat to access and understand Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji's revealed truth, so that it may be handed down to future generations.
